Pumpkins and Fall Gardening at Port Kells

Port Kells opens its pumpkin patch daily October 1–31. The $6.99 admission includes one pumpkin, excluding individually priced XXL pumpkins, plus the cedar hedge maze, hay-bale maze and children’s play areas. Children under three enter free.
Weekend pumpkin painting runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; a separate painting ticket includes a mini pumpkin. Every Sunday in October, a farmers’ market sets up beside the greenhouse, outside the patch’s paid admission area.
For a gardening afternoon, the September 18 autumn planter workshop starts at 3 p.m. and teaches you to design and assemble a porch planter. Book it separately. October patch hours are 9 a.m.–6 p.m., closing at 5 p.m. on holidays.
