About this event
Koala Koders offers an introduction to coding for children in Grades 3–4 over four Thursdays: October 8, 15, 22, and 29. Students will learn programming basics through simple block-based coding and hands-on projects using the micro:bit’s LED display, buttons, sensors, and more. No prior coding experience is required.
North Vancouver City Library is partnering with Koala Koders for this program. Founded in 2022, Koala Koders is a youth-led organization offering free coding, 3D design, and robotics programs in North Shore libraries.
Register once to be automatically enrolled in all four sessions, with one registration required per participant. Caregivers of children younger than 10 must remain in the library during the program. Location: Collaboratory.
Koala Koders aims to make STEM education fun, hands-on and accessible regardless of background or experience, inspiring young creators and problem-solvers through library programmes. This session runs October 15, 4–5 p.m. The registration page currently says the series is full, with a waitlist available. When a space opens, the first person on the waitlist is automatically registered.
