The Chilliwack Museum & Archives has preserved the community’s history for more than 100 years. The Archives has been housed at the Wells Centennial Museum in Evergreen Hall since 1971. In 2011, the City of Chilliwack expanded the facility, adding storage and workspace. Its holdings include 657 linear metres of textual, photographic, cartographic, audio and visual records; 4.63 terabits of born-digital and digitized materials; 20,620 digitized photographs; and thousands of archival records, books and objects. The collection also includes 11,134 unique objects spanning 831 linear metres of storage.
