The UBC Farm Saturday Farmers’ Market takes place on a working farm at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. It welcomes students, locals and visitors, with local food vendors, craftspeople, live musicians, and a range of hot and cold food and drink options.
The UBC Farm Stall is run through a collaboration among full-time staff, students and researchers. It is joined by 30 to 50 other vendors each week. Oyster & King Mushroom Farm, Baker Breeze Farm and Mayan Garden are among the vendors. The stall also sells the farm’s certified organic produce, fruit, herbs and flowers.
The market recognizes that the farm is located on the unceded, ancestral and traditional territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓-speaking xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people, and expresses gratitude for being able to farm and host the market on their land.
