About this event
Trout Lake Farmers’ Market (East Van) has run every Saturday since 1995. It is Vancouver’s oldest farmers’ market and a focal point of the organic movement in BC, set among the trees of Trout Lake Park near sports fields, a dog park and a community centre.
The market runs Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm. Arrive early for shopping or after 1 pm for a wander. Parking is very limited, so cycling, walking or transit is recommended; Commercial-Broadway SkyTrain is within walking distance. Bring a grocery trolley or wagon. In rainy weather, wear a rain jacket rather than using an umbrella. Trout Lake Community Centre, about five minutes away, has washrooms, water and air conditioning; the market has three portable toilets onsite.
The gathering takes place on the Unceded Traditional Territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
