Ask a Man Anything (Honestly): Coffee, Pastry & Straight Answers

About this event

This afternoon for women centres on questions people may hesitate to ask on a date: how a man views red flags, what makes him think someone is the one, and how to improve an online dating profile to attract someone who is actually your type. Mehran offers his own perspective, not a claim about what all men think. Participants can also get feedback from the table and both hosts on their red flags, must-haves and dating profile, if they have one.

The event is for women roughly 24 to 38; all women are welcome, including trans women. Tables have 4 to 10 women. Hosts Dorsa and Mehran are a couple who met on Hinge and are new to Vancouver. They are not therapists, coaches or experts. Mehran is the only man in the room and joins at about 5 pm to tell their story and share his perspective. You may sit out any part and share only what you are comfortable sharing. The afternoon also includes a one-page Hinge playbook and a note of who offered to think of someone for you.

The event runs Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at Guffo Cafe in downtown Vancouver. The date and location may change, and a change is not grounds for a refund; the location will remain in downtown Vancouver. Ticket holders will be emailed as soon as anything changes. Tickets are $20 per person, fees included, and include one medium drink and one pastry of your choice from Guffo Cafe. A second drink or pastry costs extra. If fewer than 4 women have signed up by Thursday, October 22 at 6 pm, the event will be cancelled and ticket holders fully refunded.
