Come Alone, Meet New Girlfriends: A Women's Coffee Afternoon Downtown

About this event

Come on your own and meet new people over conversation that goes beyond “so what do you do?” The event is for women roughly 24 to 38, with one small table of up to ten. Each ticket includes a drink and a pastry.

This is an afternoon for women; all women are welcome, including trans women. Hosts Dorsa and Mehran are a couple who met on Hinge and are also new to Vancouver. They are not therapists, coaches or experts, but enjoy talking honestly about relationships and have learned from their own mistakes. Mehran is the only man in the room. He joins at about 5 pm to tell their story and share one man's perspective. You may sit out any part and share only what you are comfortable sharing.

Participants can get honest feedback from the table and both hosts on their red flags, must-haves and dating profile, if they have one. The afternoon also includes Mehran's perspective, a one-page Hinge playbook and a note of who offered to think of someone for you.

The event runs Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at Guffo Cafe in downtown Vancouver. The date and location may change, and a change is not grounds for a refund; the location will remain in downtown Vancouver. Ticket holders will be emailed as soon as anything changes. Tickets are $20 per person, fees included, and include one medium drink and one pastry of your choice from Guffo Cafe. A second drink or pastry costs extra. The ticket listing gives a CAD 20.00 base price plus a CAD 2.73 ticket fee. Use code PAIR10 for 10% off when buying two tickets. Include allergy or dietary needs in the ticket form so the hosts can check with the cafe. If fewer than 4 women have signed up by Thursday, October 22 at 6 pm, the event will be cancelled and ticket holders fully refunded.
