About this event
Halloween Mystery Nights runs from October 4 to 31, 2026. Teams of 2 to 6 explore downtown Vancouver in an outdoor escape game, completing challenges and collecting clues as a mystery unfolds. Each team must include at least one adult. The activity is for ages 12 and up, and costumes are encouraged.
Choose from three games. Ghost Patrol starts at 5:30 pm: paranormal investigators follow coded messages from ghosts and explore four downtown hauntings, with stories spanning life in Vancouver in the 1910s, 1930s and 1970s. It is the most challenging game. Secret Mission starts at 6 pm and sends secret agents after BLACKOUT, an organization plotting to destroy Vancouver. Crime in Downtown starts at 6:30 pm; teams work through Gastown to investigate Jimmy Capello’s stabbing, poisoning and strangling and determine who did it and why.
Each team receives a game kit with a map, tools, artifacts and puzzles. The game is not an app; a real person meets teams at the start and end. Teams also receive a special edition Mystery Nights certificate at the end. Contact the Experience Team to book by phone, email or WhatsApp, or with questions.
The regular daily schedule continues 362 days a year. There are five outdoor escape games to choose from in October; check the daily schedule for other time slots or book a private outdoor escape game.
