Intro to Improv 1 with Syd Sundays starting Nov 1

About this event

Blind Tiger Comedy’s Intro to Improv 1 is taught by Syd Campbell and is for people aged 18 and over. No prerequisite is required. The class covers improv terminology, building a basic scene, making an offer and responding to a scene partner. Students will also explore playing at the height of their intelligence and the role of joy in live improv. The eight-week course ends with a showcase, and students will be prepared to move on to Intro 2.

Classes run Sundays from November 1 to December 20, 2:30 to 5 pm, at Little Mountain Gallery. The course price is $420; the ticket listing gives CAD 420.00 plus a CAD 28.63 ticket fee. The exact showcase schedule will be sent during the week of the first class; the organizer says 95% of its shows are on Wednesdays at 7 or 9 pm. A full refund is available for cancellations at least two weeks before the class begins; registration is non-refundable within two weeks of the start. Questions: classes@blindtigercomedy.ca.
