About this event
Montreal author-illustrator Arizona O'Neill discusses her graphic memoir Opioids and Organs with Garth Mullins, a harm-reduction activist and author of Crackdown: Surviving and Resisting the War on Drugs.
In 2015, O’Neill grieved at her father’s hospital bed after a fentanyl overdose left him brain-dead. Doctors pressed her to make an organ-donation decision that continued to haunt her. The memoir examines her role in his final decision and the organ industry’s codependence on the opioid crisis and exploitation of society’s outcasts.
Standard admission is CAD 28; youth under 25 pay CAD 15; member and senior 65+ tickets are CAD 25.20. Current Showpass totals include taxes and fees at those amounts. No exchanges or refunds except if the event is cancelled; check your order carefully. Avoid perfume, cologne and other strongly scented products. For access needs or box-office questions, call 778-658-0462; Showpass technical support is 1-844-307-7469.
