This Board of Variance meeting has been cancelled.
Under the Local Government Act, municipalities with a zoning bylaw must establish a Board of Variance. A person may apply for a minor variance when complying with the bylaw would cause hardship. The quasi-judicial board has three community volunteers appointed by council and is proposed to meet on the first Wednesday of each month as needed.
