About this event
The Board of Variance proposes to meet on Wednesday, Sept. 2, and on the first Wednesday of every month as needed. The event listing gives a 2 to 4 p.m. time, while the meeting information also lists 4 p.m.
Under the Local Government Act, a municipality that adopts a zoning bylaw must establish a Board of Variance so people can seek relief from provisions of that bylaw. A person may apply for a minor variance when complying with the bylaw would cause hardship.
The quasi-judicial board has three community volunteers appointed by council. Livestreamed meetings can be viewed on the committee webpage at https://bm-public-pittmeadows.escribemeetings.com/BoardDetails/BoardInformation/4, which also provides meeting-location details.
