Halloween Special in Vancouver: Meet New People | Ages 25–45

About this event

Halloween Fast Friends takes place at Alibi Room on October 31, 2026, from 7 to 9 pm. It is for women and men aged 25–45 who want to meet people and expand their social circle. Host Lillian welcomes guests and makes introductions. The main activity is a series of hosted, themed conversation rounds: guests take part in short, three-minute conversations with different people, using Halloween prompts and conversation starters. One round invites guests to share spooky stories. You may come alone, with a friend or in costume; costumes are completely optional. This is a friendship-focused event, not a dating event.

Welcome and check-in begin at 7 pm, when guests can meet the host, get a drink and settle in. Halloween Fast Friending starts at 7:30 pm. After the hosted rounds finish, guests may stay for drinks and continue conversations. Alibi Room applies a mandatory 20% service charge to groups of 8 or more. This charge is separate from the Fast Friends ticket and applies to the food and/or drink bill at the venue.

Advance booking is strongly recommended to help the organiser plan group size and reserve space. Tickets are $10 for Early Bird (limited availability), $15 for Regular, and $20 in cash at the venue. The advertised ticket range is CAD 11.64 to CAD 19.92: Early Bird is CAD 10.00 plus a CAD 1.64 ticket fee; Regular is CAD 15.00 plus a CAD 1.82 ticket fee; and At Door is CAD 18.00 plus a CAD 1.92 ticket fee. These amounts reflect the listed ticket types. Debit and credit cards are accepted; no PayPal account is required. Book at https://vancouver31stoct.eventbrite.co.uk (https://vancouver31stoct.eventbrite.co.uk)).

Members from 8 local Meetup groups are also invited, so the final group size may differ considerably from the RSVP number shown on Meetup. Most people attend on their own, and the hosted rounds provide a way to join conversations.
