MODO LIVE presents Sonny Landreth with special guest Joël Fafard. Landreth is a guitarist, songwriter and bandleader whose work has drawn praise from Rock & Blues Muse, All About Jazz and Eric Clapton.
Over a career of more than four decades, he has recorded fourteen albums, received three GRAMMY® nominations and been named Americana Music Association Instrumentalist of the Year and a Blues Foundation Blues Music Award winner for Best Guitarist. He has also performed seven times by invitation at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival.
Landreth has worked as a sideman with performers including Clifton Chenier, John Hiatt and Jimmy Buffett. His song “Congo Square” has become a Zydeco/Blues standard recorded by artists including The Neville Brothers, John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers and Derek Trucks.
