About this event
Advance voting dates for the 2026 Surrey municipal election are October 7, 10, 14 and 15. Eligible voters will elect one mayor, eight councillors and six school trustees. The 10 locations are Kwantlen Park Secondary, Guildford Recreation Centre, Fraser Heights Recreation Centre, Fleetwood Community Centre, Frank Hurt Secondary, Princess Margaret Secondary, École Panorama Ridge Secondary, Cloverdale Recreation Centre, Semiahmoo Secondary and Earl Marriott Secondary.
Before voting, confirm your eligibility and review the candidates. If you are registered, a voter card will be mailed to your household in late September or early October. Bring the card bearing your name and one piece of acceptable identification. To update personal information on your voter card, bring acceptable identification showing the updated information; if one piece shows the change, a second is not required.
At the voting location, staff will direct you to the first available election official. Show your voter card and one piece of acceptable identification, then sign the voting book declaration to receive a ballot. If you are not on the registered voters list, you will need two pieces of acceptable identification. Mark your ballot privately in a voting booth, then feed it into the tabulator at the voting machine.
Voting hours are 8 am to 8 pm. Voters must be at least 18 on election day and meet the Canadian citizenship, six-month British Columbia residency, and Surrey resident or non-resident property elector requirements. Check the official voter eligibility rules before attending.
