About this event
Jackie Morris will introduce The Book of Birds, her collaboration with author Robert Macfarlane. Reimagining the nature field guide, the book considers 49 declining or endangered bird species and invites readers to recognize their place in a wider effort to protect them.
Morris will paint live on stage while a camera captures her work stroke by stroke. The event offers adults and high school students a chance to see the process of a renowned artist.
Presented by Vancouver Writers Fest on Oct. 21, 2026, at 1 p.m. Vancouver local time. The event runs from 1 to 2:30 pm. Tickets are CAD 15–28.
Standard admission is CAD 28. Youth under 25 pay CAD 15; seniors 65+ and members pay CAD 25.20. Age proof may be requested for youth and senior discounts.
