About this event
This performance takes place October 18 at 2:30 pm. White Rock Players’ Club presents Ernest Thompson’s On Golden Pond, directed by Lance Peverley and produced by Rebekah MacEwan. Set in a New England family cabin, this unsentimental drama follows an elderly couple and their daughter through traditions, unexpected bonds and major changes. The club last staged the play in 1982, following the 1981 film starring Henry Fonda, Jane Fonda and Katharine Hepburn.
The run is October 1–18: Thursday–Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday matinees at 2:30 pm. Adults $29; senior tickets (labelled “+60”) and youth under 18 $25. The $20 October 1 preview is a separate past performance. Venue: Oceana PARC Playhouse, 1532 Johnston Road, White Rock. The club is a nonprofit, volunteer-based community theatre. Box office: 604-536-7535; in-person and telephone hours Wednesday–Friday, 1–5 p.m., with extra hours posted during shows.
