About this event
Reading Buddies is for children in Grades 2 to 4 and teens ages 14–18. Children practise reading with teen volunteers in a supportive setting, and teens volunteer as role models for young readers.
The program is not designed to teach children how to read. Sessions run from 4 to 5 pm on Tuesdays, October 13, 20 and 27, and November 3, 10 and 17, at Guildford Branch. All sessions are full.
The October 20 session meets in the Meeting Room. Registration is required; children can obtain a form at Guildford Branch.
Children can collect the Guildford registration form from September 23. Teen volunteer registration is closed and all positions are full. Contact Yesenia 604-598-7369. Admission is free.
