Clay (Open Studio)
Adults of all levels can work independently on the wheel, handbuilding or finishing projects started in class. This occurrence is the November 1 morning session. A drop-in pass is required to hold a spot, including for members, whose pass is discounted to zero at checkout.

The Clay Open Studio is for adults of all levels to practise on the wheel, handbuild or finish work started in class. Participants develop their skills independently; the sessions are not designed for production potters or private instruction. This session runs Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 10 am to 1 pm at Chilliwack Community Arts Council Clay Studio. Other listed weekly sessions are Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm, Friday from 10 am to 1 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 to 5 pm.
The drop-in fee is $19 per session. A monthly membership is $99 for up to 2 sessions per week, and an annual membership is $750 for September through August. Everyone must purchase a drop-in pass to hold a spot, in person at the box office, by phone or through the website. Monthly and annual members must also obtain a pass; it is discounted to zero at checkout. Participants may sign up for a maximum of two sessions per week, and the calendar is open until the end of the semester. Drop-in passes are non-refundable.
Clay for open studio must be purchased separately through the Centre Box Office. Only work made at Chilliwack Cultural Centre with clay purchased there can be fired in its kilns. Work made during a session can be glazed at any session attended. Members may glaze up to 10 pieces per month for free; excess pieces incur charges of $2 for small pieces (up to 6 inches), $5 for medium pieces (6–12 inches) and $8 for large pieces (over 12 inches).
Finished pieces can be picked up 2–3 weeks after glazing, only during an Open Studio Block and not outside open studio hours. Bring your own box and packing materials, as the studio cannot guarantee packing supplies. Please ensure you can attend before purchasing.
