About this event
Staff from Service Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), and Income Assistance will provide confidential one-to-one assistance. Free simple tax filing is available for low-income people and families. Bring T4 slips, Canadian or provincial photo ID, and other forms and statements needed for filing.
The clinic does not prepare returns for business or rental income, self-employment income over $1,000, interest or capital gains over $1,000, or final returns for a deceased person. On-site Service Canada can assist with Canadian Dental Care Plan information and applications or attestations, Old Age Security and Canada Pension Plan information, Social Insurance Number applications (a birth certificate is required in most cases), My Service Canada access codes, and general Government of Canada information. Income Assistance can provide information about its program, qualifications, and application process.
The clinic takes place Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 10 am to 3 pm at City Centre Branch, in partnership with Prosper Canada, Family Services of Greater Vancouver, and the Government of Canada's Social Development Partnerships Program.
The October 21 clinic meets in the Computer Learning Centre (CLC). Registration is required through the organizer link on the library event page. Enquiries: 604-598-7426.
