About this event
Trout Lake Farmers’ Market has run every Saturday since 1995. It is Vancouver’s oldest farmers’ market and has been a central part of B.C.’s organic movement. The market winds through the trees of Trout Lake Park, near sports fields, a dog park and a community centre.
The market runs Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors looking for the best selection are encouraged to arrive early, while after 1 p.m. is suggested for a wander.
Parking is very limited, so biking, walking or transit are recommended; Commercial-Broadway SkyTrain is within walking distance. Visitors may want to bring a grocery trolley or wagon. In rainy weather, a rain jacket is recommended instead of an umbrella. Trout Lake Community Centre is about five minutes away with washrooms, water and air conditioning, and the market has three portable toilets on site.
