About this event
This program is for children in Grades 2 to 4 and teens ages 14–18. Children practise reading with a teen volunteer in a supportive setting, while teens volunteer as role models to younger readers.
Reading Buddies is not designed to teach children how to read. Participants must attend all six sessions, held from 3:30 to 4:30 pm on Wednesday, October 14, 21, and 28, and November 4, 18, and 25 at Strawberry Hill Branch.
Meet in the Meeting Room. Registration is required: children may pick up a form at Strawberry Hill Branch starting September 23. Teen volunteer registration is closed; all positions are full.
