Summer Discovery Days at Fraser River Discovery Centre examines how invasive species affect ecosystems in the Fraser Basin. Visitors can learn about their impact on food webs, native species, rivers and local habitats.
The program includes an interactive puppet show, a stream-restoration activity and a cornhole matching game about where invasive species originate and how they spread.
The event runs Aug. 29–30 and Sept. 5–7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stream restoration is offered from 10 a.m. to noon, and the puppet show runs from 1 to 3 p.m.
Activities are included with Discovery Centre admission, and members enter free. Admission is $20 for a family ticket covering two adults and up to four children, $8 for adults 19 and older, $6 for seniors 65 and older and students with ID, and $5 for children aged three to 12. Children two and under register free; caregivers must remain with children during their visit.
