About this event
Beekeeper Alex leads hands-on Halloween activities at Honeybee Centre. Make a beeswax Halloween candle to take home, transform a recycled glass jar with orange tissue paper and a jack-o’-lantern face, and roll a beeswax tea light to light the lantern. Other Halloween activities, crafts, and challenges will also be available. The activities draw on honeybees, pollinators, and Halloween.
The event runs Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 11 am to 2:30 pm. Candle pouring registration times are 11 am and 1 pm; your selected time is when you pour your beeswax candle, and you are welcome to stay for the full event. Candle pouring costs $15 per participating person plus fees. Adults accompanying children do not need a ticket unless they also want to pour a candle. Additional adults who decide to make a candle can pay through Eventbrite or in person at Honeybee Centre, subject to availability. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the other Halloween activities together. Halloween costumes are welcome; trick-or-treating takes place in the shop. One Candle tickets are CAD 15.00 plus a CAD 2.31 ticket fee; Two Candle tickets are CAD 25.00 plus a CAD 2.96 ticket fee.
