About this event
Bestselling author Iain Reid and award-winning filmmaker Ellie Foumbi discuss A New Kind of Clean at Vancouver Writers Fest. Tom Charity moderates, with on-stage visuals accompanying the conversation.
Originally envisioned as a film, the work became a novel as Reid and Foumbi passed it back and forth. Their philosophical horror story follows an aspiring actress confronting what she may be willing to sacrifice to achieve her ambitions.
Reid’s screen adaptations have involved names including Charlie Kaufman and Saoirse Ronan. Presented in partnership with VIFF.
Standard admission is CAD 28; youth under 25 pay CAD 15; member and senior 65+ tickets are CAD 25.20. Current Showpass totals include taxes and fees at those amounts.
