About this event
Players new to Minecraft and those with experience can build or battle in the Collaboratory. If space permits, computers are available on a drop-in basis for gaming. Games on Collaboratory computers are limited, but participants may choose browser games or other software such as RPG Maker instead of Minecraft.
No registration is required. Capacity is 12, with spaces offered first come, first served; arrive early to secure a spot. Participants must check in at the 3rd floor desk before entering the Collaboratory. Children under 10 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Sessions are unsupervised by staff, and additional support is not always available. Staff can help patrons access and open software but cannot actively manage gaming sessions or provide technical support. Open gaming is not for general web browsing, and the Collaboratory is not a general study space.
October 18, 2026, 2–3:30 pm, Collaboratory, North Vancouver City Library, 120 14th Street West, North Vancouver, BC V7M 1N9. Free admission. Other Sunday sessions at 2 pm are October 4 and 25; November 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29; and December 6, 13 and 20.
