About this event
The Pumpkin Carving Contest takes place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 11 am to 4 pm at Vandula Farms. Carving will be held in an enclosed section of the greenhouse, sheltered from the weather. Participants may arrive from 11 am to collect a pumpkin and begin carving. Carving ends at 3 pm, and entries must be finished and ready for judging by 4 pm. The contest ends at 4 pm, followed by a prize draw and awards. Participants may take their carved pumpkin home afterward.
Participants must be 19 or older, and each participant needs a separate registration; registration is counted per contestant, not per accompanying guest. Each registered participant receives one free pumpkin for the contest. Additional pumpkins can be purchased at Vandula Farms. Bring your own carving tools and supplies. Friends, family and neighbours are welcome to watch, cheer on the carvers and vote for the People’s Choice Award. Guests do not need to register.
More than $1000 in prizes are available. Categories include the Master Carver’s Prize (a pair of 2026 Canucks Hockey Season Tickets), Most Creative Design (prize to be determined), Funniest Design (prize to be determined) and multiple People’s Choice Awards. The contest is part of the annual Pumpkin Patch Festival.
The event’s registration is now closed; the event details also state that advance online registration is required. Details: https://vandulafarms.ca/pages/pumpkin-patch-festival,.
