UBC Farm Saturday Farmers’ Market takes place on a working farm at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and welcomes students, locals and visitors. It hosts local food vendors, craftspeople, live musicians, and a range of hot and cold food and drink options. UBC Farm also sells its certified organic produce, fruit, herbs and flowers at the market.
The market is a collaboration among full-time UBC staff, students and researchers. The UBC Farm Stall is joined by 30 to 50 other vendors each week; examples include Oyster & King Mushroom Farm, Baker Breeze Farm and Mayan Garden. The organizers recognize that they are guests on the unceded ancestral and traditional territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓-speaking xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people and are grateful to farm and host the market there. The event time is October 31 at 10 am.
