About this event
Presented by TD Bank Group, Game Changers explores how video games have evolved from simple graphics and sounds to today’s photorealistic, immersive experiences. The exhibition features more than 140 iconic video games, including 16 playable titles, and looks at the roles of creativity, storytelling, coding and technology in gaming.
Visitors can play Tetris on a giant Game Boy, test their knowledge of retro video game music, create an 8-bit character on a large-scale pixel wall, and play Super Mario Bros. with an oversized NES controller. There is also a game developed for people with vision loss.
The exhibition examines video game design, from graphics and soundtracks to computational thinking and technological innovation. It explores how creativity and technology shape games today and what gaming might look like in the future. It runs at Science World from October 16 to January 24.
