Samhain: A Ritual of Sound & Stillness

About this event

This Samhain-inspired evening begins with rhythmic drumming using the methods of Core Shamanism, developed by anthropologist Michael Harner. Repetitive drumming is used to enter a meditative state and explore connections with spirit guides and the unseen world. The drumming is followed by an extended crystal singing bowl sound bath for rest and reflection. Oracle cards and tea follow.

Samhain is an ancient Celtic festival closely connected to the origins of Halloween. Traditionally, it was believed that the veil between the living and the spirit world was thinnest at this time. The festival is associated with ancestral remembrance and the supernatural, and is an important occasion in modern Pagan traditions.

The event runs on October 31, 2026, from 6 to 7:30 pm on Seymour Street in Vancouver. The full address and further details will be sent after registration. Please dress comfortably. Yoga mats and blankets are provided; guests may bring an eye cover if they wish. General admission is CAD 59.00 plus a CAD 5.17 ticket fee.
