About this event
Pulitzer Prize-winning author Andrew Sean Greer will discuss Villa Coco, his novel about an aspiring archivist who moves to the Italian countryside to assist a defiantly youthful 92-year-old Baronessa. The villa’s art, antiques, visitors and romantic complications shape the story’s Tuscan setting.
Greer, who moved from the United States to Italy a decade ago, will speak with Alix Ohlin about the book and its reflections on living a meaningful life at any age.
Presented by Vancouver Writers Fest on Oct. 21, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. Vancouver local time. Standard tickets are CAD 28 including GST and service fees; the event ends at 7 pm.
The novel includes a stream of visitors, romantic conundrums and the delights of la dolce vita. The $15 ticket is restricted to people under 25. Members and seniors 65+ receive 10% off.
