The Water Street Pedestrian Zone returns for summer 2026 on Sundays from noon to 8pm between July 5 and September 6. The City of Vancouver is working with the Gastown Business Improvement Society and local organizations to create a pedestrian-first experience on Water Street.
Each Sunday, the Gastown Business Improvement Society will present Gastown Sunday Set, a free rotating program. Weekly offerings include DJs, art drops, interactive installations, markets, games and other curated activities.
The family-friendly program also features music, art, culture, dining, shopping, patio seating and pop-ups. It takes place on Water Street from Richards Street to Columbia Street, with signature events including coffee and music days, a flower market and live art battles.
