AI Apocalypse: Halloween Meet & Greet (Community Sharing)

About this event

Meet Vancouver’s AI community the night before Halloween. The event is focused on networking: meet founders, builders and curious minds, exchange ideas, find collaborators and make new friends. A 30-minute discussion will consider whether an AI apocalypse could happen, what it might look like, and practical steps to address its effects on work, money and family.

The event takes place October 30, 2026, from 4 to 6 pm at the Alexander Innovation Center at Alexander College. The agenda is: 4 pm, introductions; 4:15 pm, “The AI Apocalypse: what to do about it” for 30 minutes; 4:45 pm, networking; and 6 pm, wrap-up. Guests are invited to dress as a favourite AI character or brand, such as ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, the Terminator or a robot mascot. The best costume gets bragging rights.
