About this event

This bird walk explores migrating and resident birds and the diverse habitats that support them. Participants can improve their bird identification skills, learn to use iNaturalist as a data collection tool, and find out how to help protect wildlife in the park.

The activity is free, but pre-registration is required. Dress for the weather and bring binoculars, or borrow a pair provided by the program. Meet at the kiosk at the north end of the gravel parking lot, and leave dogs at home.

This October 24 walk runs 8:30–10:30 a.m. for ages 13+ at Blackie Spit Park, 3136 McBride Avenue. Register through the city form; a separate all-ages walk runs later that day.
