About this event
Richmond Public Library's Film Club will screen the new horror film Obsession in the lead-up to Halloween.
Popcorn will be served with the movie.
The October 20 screening runs 6–8 p.m. at Brighouse, is for ages 18+, and requires registration through the library event calendar.
Curry Barker’s horror-thriller follows Bear, a young romantic who uses the supernatural One Wish Willow to make his crush Nikki love him. The wish has a sinister price as Nikki becomes uncanny and hyper-fixated. As events spiral out of control, pitch-black comedy and blood-soaked practical effects explore manipulation, toxic obsession and dangerous desires.
The film is rated R and runs 1 hour 48 minutes; the program’s full time slot is 6–8 pm. It meets in Community Place on Brighouse’s second floor. Film selection may change without notice because of release delays or technical issues. Library representatives may take promotional photos or videos; tell staff if you prefer not to be photographed.
