About this event
The Day of the Dead Market honours ancestors and loved ones through Latin American food, artisan stalls, live music, interactive activities, art and storytelling at 1500 Old Bridge St. Hours are October 31, 11 am–11 pm, with the Catrina party after 7 pm; and November 1, 11 am–8 pm. General market admission is free; purchases, food and workshops cost extra.
October 31 workshops: noon papel picado banners, $10; 1 pm sugar-skull decorating, $20; 3 pm Catrina lanterns, $10; 4 pm build an ofrenda, $5; 5 pm Day of the Dead memories storytelling, $5.
November 1: noon sugar skulls, $20; 2 pm ofrenda, $5; 3 pm the ancestral meaning of corn, $20; 5 pm Catrina lanterns, $15. Each workshop lists 20 spaces. Follow the organizer’s ticket arrangements for participation and availability.
