Creatures of the Night — October 21

About this event

Explore the park at dusk and after dark, looking for signs of nocturnal animals such as beavers, owls and coyotes.

The final part takes place in darkness. Bring a flashlight to see the route and reduce disturbance to wildlife. The moderate 1.5-hour walk includes boardwalks and uneven ground. Advance sliding-scale tickets are required; verify the chosen date and booking arrangements through the official occurrence page. Meet at the Nature House on Lost Lagoon 5–10 minutes early. Routes include gravel, pavement and flat dirt with gentle inclines and uneven ground. Advance registration is required; no drop-ins. Walks normally run rain or shine but extreme weather may cause postponement. Refund requests at least seven days before the event incur a 20% administration fee; later requests, lateness and missed attendance are non-refundable.
