About this event
The Cannery lobby becomes an undersea photo setting with marine creatures made from recycled plastics and ocean waste. Visit October 1–November 1, 2026, daily from 10 am to 5 pm. Come as you are or wear an ocean-inspired costume. The lobby experience is free; museum admission is separate.
Post a photo on Instagram tagging @gogcannery or on Facebook tagging Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site, then show staff for 15% off one adult or senior museum admission. The discount may be used that day or issued as a coupon, valid until November 1 at 5 pm. Each tagged post covers one admission; each visitor needs their own valid post.
To enter the costume contest, take and upload a costume selfie at the experience between October 1 and November 1, include #CanneryCostumeContest and tag the Cannery. A prize-basket winner is drawn on November 2 and contacted through social media.
