Man charged after Langley break-in, assault investigation
A 29-year-old man faces attempted-murder and other charges after a March break-in and struggle at a home in Langley’s Aldergrove neighbourhood.

A 29-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and several other offences in connection with a March break-in in Langley’s Aldergrove neighbourhood.
Langley RCMP say Christian James MacLean was arrested Wednesday in Fredericton, N.B. He is charged with attempted murder, assault with a weapon, break and enter of a dwelling house, and disguising his face with intent to commit an offence.
Police were called to a home at about 2:20 a.m. on March 13 after reports of an unknown man inside. RCMP allege the resident confronted the suspect and was assaulted during a brief struggle.
MacLean appeared in court in New Brunswick and was remanded in custody pending arrangements for his return to British Columbia. Police say the matter is now before the courts and the victim’s identity is protected by a publication ban.
