Abbotsford police recover about $20,000 in suspected stolen goods
Two men remain in custody after Abbotsford police recovered suspected stolen property and seized a vehicle while investigating a break-and-enter at a business.

The Abbotsford Police Department says it recovered about $20,000 in suspected stolen goods while investigating a break-and-enter at a business.
Police were called to the business on Forge Place near the Clearbrook Road interchange at about 4 a.m. on Aug. 27. The suspects had left in a vehicle before officers arrived, police said. Officers found that furniture and other merchandise had been stolen.
Police identified the suspect vehicle and two suspects, leading to an investigation and a search warrant. The warrant was executed Sept. 11 at a home on Marshall Road near Cherry Street. Police said they recovered stolen property, seized the suspect vehicle and located approximately $20,000 worth of suspected stolen tools.
Mario Jovic, 44, and Richard White, 49, have each been charged with break-and-enter and remain in custody. Police said both men are known to them.
Abbotsford police also encouraged businesses and residents to join Project Clearview, a voluntary community camera registry intended to help investigators identify potential video evidence and support timely police responses during criminal investigations. Anyone with information about the owners of the tools is asked to email communications@abbypd.ca.
