B.C. party leaders to pitch plans to Vancouver business leaders ahead of election
With less than two weeks before B.C.’s provincial election, the leaders of the NDP, Conservatives and Greens are set to address business leaders at a Greater Vancouver Board of Trade event in Vancouver.

VANCOUVER — The leaders of British Columbia’s three major political parties are set to pitch their plans to business leaders in Vancouver with less than two weeks to go before the provincial election.
NDP Leader David Eby, Conservative interim leader Lorne Doerkson and Green Party Leader Emily Lowan are scheduled to speak this afternoon at an event hosted by the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade. They will not debate one another, but each will address attendees. A question-and-answer session with board president Bridgitte Anderson will follow.
The board says the event is intended to let people hear directly from the leaders as they present their vision for the province and discuss priorities for B.C.’s future. A televised leaders’ debate is scheduled for Wednesday, ahead of election day on Oct. 24.
