West Vancouver oceanfront estate listed for $49.88 million
The Laxton Residence, a 2.83-acre West Vancouver estate with work by architects Arthur Erickson and Bruno Freschi, has been listed for $49.88 million.

A West Vancouver oceanfront estate known as the Laxton Residence has been listed for $49.88 million.
The 2.83-acre, multi-tiered property spans four separate lots and includes three residences. A glass elevator links the homes and a private cove, while amenities include a beachfront bar, putting green and outdoor pool.
The main house was designed by Arthur Erickson, whose work includes several landmark Vancouver public buildings. Bruno Freschi, chief architect of Expo 86 and designer of Science World’s geodesic dome, also contributed to the project.
Listing agent Karim Virani said the estate has drawn interest locally and internationally, though it is largely hidden from the road. Lawyer and developer John Laxton began assembling the property in the 1960s and died there in 2024 at age 91.
