Delta council recognized the winners of the 2026 Community Banner Contest at its July 13 regular meeting.
The annual program invites artists across Delta to submit works representing the community’s heritage and beauty in a range of media. Winning designs will be displayed on city streets from late July through October.
A judging panel with representatives from the Boundary Bay Quilters Guild and the Arts Council of Delta selected one winner in each of five categories. Winners received two banners featuring their designs, a certificate and an honorarium.
The city says it received 63 submissions between February and May. Delta has operated the Community Banner Design Program since 2014 to showcase the community’s beauty, diversity, culture and local artists. Contest details, rules and previous winners are available at letstalk.delta.ca/bannercontest.
