Vancouver Goldeneyes host two-day hockey camp for Surrey girls
Vancouver Goldeneyes players and coaches led a two-day hockey camp in North Surrey for girls in U9 through U15 age groups.

Young girls took part in a two-day hockey camp led by Vancouver Goldeneyes players and coaches at North Surrey Sport & Ice Complex on Aug. 18.
The camp served U9, U11, U13 and U15 players. Goldeneyes players Gabby Rosenthal, Surrey’s Jenn Gardiner, captain Ashton Bell and Richmond-born Katie Chan joined head coach Cara Gardner Morey for on- and off-ice instruction.
Gardiner and Rosenthal said the camp gave young players a chance to connect with professional role models and enjoy the sport. Rosenthal said giving back to the next generation of women’s hockey players was important to her.
The UPS Goldeneyes Summer Camp, presented by Safe Software, cost $300 and included two and a half hours of ice time, off-ice training, a jersey and a T-shirt. The Goldeneyes play in the Professional Women’s Hockey League, which has 12 teams and is expected to begin its next season later this fall.
