Four candidates are running in Coquitlam-Burke Mountain
NDP incumbent Jodie Wickens faces candidates from CentreBC, the B.C. Green Party and the Conservative Party in the riding. The article also outlines party priorities, election history and boundaries.

B.C. NDP incumbent Jodie Wickens is facing three challengers in Coquitlam-Burke Mountain: CentreBC candidate Kaden Mann, B.C. Green Party candidate Valerie Morrison and Conservative Party candidate Ryan Peterson. Wickens, who served as minister of children and family development, pointed to her work connecting British Columbians with a family doctor and efforts to create jobs. Peterson, co-founder of technology company Finger Food Studios, is running on his record as a job creator.
CentreBC says it is developing the party’s first major policy pillars, covering affordability, health care, economic growth, fiscal responsibility, environmental sustainability and Indigenous relations. The B.C. Green Party platform includes covering mental health care through the public system and building community health centres in every region.
The riding was formed in 2008 from parts of three other ridings, and its political alignment shifted from Liberal to NDP. Wickens won in 2024, defeating Conservative candidate Stephen Frolek by about 1.2 percentage points. NDP MLA Fin Donnelly won decisively in 2020 with 54.9 per cent of the vote. In 2017, Liberal Joan Isaacs finished 87 votes, or 0.37 percentage points, ahead of Wickens.
Coquitlam-Burke Mountain is the largest riding in the Tri-Cities and is roughly bounded by the Pitt and Indian Arm rivers. From Lincoln Avenue, the boundary heads west and then north to Victoria Drive, just west of DeBoville Slough. It continues west along Victoria Drive, then north up Wellington Street, across Mason Avenue and Metcalfe Way just above Coquitlam River Elementary, and down Oxford Street. The southern boundary follows Lincoln Avenue to Westwood Street, then the rail line to Mariner Way and Johnson Street. It turns north before looping west along David Avenue.
