Four homes proposed for Fort Langley lot
A development-permit application for 9126 Church St. proposes two detached homes, each with a secondary suite, under B.C.’s small-scale multi-unit housing rules.

A development-permit application filed July 15 with Langley Township proposes four homes on a Fort Langley lot at 9126 Church St. The plan calls for two detached houses, each with a secondary suite.
Township design materials show two flat-roofed, brick-clad buildings, one in light brick and the other dark brown. The site was previously occupied by a single-family house and sold for $1.7 million in early 2025, according to BC Assessment.
Provincial changes introduced in mid-2024 allow three or four units on most urban and suburban lots that had been zoned for single-family homes, with up to six units permitted in areas served by frequent transit. Langley Township has since revised its approval process, with some permits going to council and many handled by staff. Applications for this form of housing have also been made in Brookswood, Walnut Grove and Murrayville.
