Roman St. Germain enters Delta school board race as independent
Roman St. Germain says he will run independently for Delta school trustee, pledging student-centred and transparent governance ahead of the Oct. 17 municipal election.

Roman St. Germain has announced he will run as an independent candidate for Delta school trustee in the Oct. 17 municipal election.
St. Germain, a local parent, community volunteer and experienced board director, said trustees should be elected individually and accountable to Delta residents rather than a municipal political slate. He said students, families, educators and staff in North and South Delta need an independent voice at the board table.
If elected, he said he would focus on student-centred decision-making, support for teachers and staff, stronger parent and community engagement, and transparent, evidence-based governance. He also cited financial stewardship, long-term planning and clear public reporting as priorities.
St. Germain lives in Tsawwassen with his wife, Shante Sidhu, and their four children. His experience includes parent advisory council roles at Tamanawis Secondary and Boundary Park Elementary, district PAC work in Surrey, and director roles with the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board, Tourism Richmond and Tourism Sun Peaks.
