Vancouver police seek two possible witnesses in the CRAB Park homicide after releasing surveillance videos
The Vancouver Police Department says two people shown in footage recorded early Sept. 23 may have information that could assist its ongoing homicide investigation.

The Vancouver Police Department is looking for two people who may have witnessed a recent killing in CRAB Park. Police released two short surveillance videos on Friday and said they were recorded in the early hours of Sept. 23. The first shows a woman walking near Main and East Cordova streets, wearing a yellow long-sleeved shirt, green pants and burgundy shoes. The second, recorded at Columbia and Keefer streets, shows a man in a black jacket over a red-and-blue shirt with white lettering, black pants and white shoes. He is carrying a longboard skateboard.
Const. Megan Lui said investigators believe the two people may have information that could help with the ongoing homicide investigation. She asked the man and woman, or anyone who knows them, to contact the department immediately.
At about 7 a.m. on Sept. 23, police responded to a report of a man in medical distress at CRAB Park. The man died from his injuries despite life-saving efforts by first responders at the scene. Police have not said how they believe he was injured, but have described his death as Vancouver’s sixth homicide of 2026. Two days after the killing, police identified the victim publicly as 57-year-old Charles McIntyre. In Friday’s release, however, the victim’s name was given as Victor Charles McIntyre.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Department Homicide Unit at 604-717-2500.
