Four hospitalized after stabbing at downtown Vancouver bar; suspect at large
Vancouver police say three male patrons were stabbed during an altercation at a Granville Street bar early Saturday, and an employee was hurt while intervening. All four had serious but non-life-threatening injuries; no one has been arrested.

Officers were called to a bar on Granville Street near Smithe Street just before 3 a.m. Saturday, the Vancouver Police Department said in a news release Monday. Police said witnesses reported an altercation inside the establishment involving three male patrons. An unidentified suspect stabbed all three, police said, and a male bar employee was also injured while trying to intervene.
All four victims were taken to hospital with injuries described by police as serious but non-life-threatening. No one has been arrested. Police described the suspect as a Black man with dreadlocks, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a black puffy jacket.
VPD spokesperson Const. Darren Wong said police believe the incident was targeted and tied to gang conflict in the Lower Mainland. Police are asking witnesses and anyone with information or video to call 604-717-2500.
