Man arrested and charged over alleged indecent act

A 51-year-old man has been arrested and charged after an alleged indecent act in a stairwell at Pacific Centre Mall in Vancouver.

Security staff found a man in the stairway at 8 p.m. Wednesday and asked him to leave the mall. He allegedly exposed himself at that point. Security called 911 and followed the man out of the mall until police arrived and arrested him nearby.

Robert Finlay MacLeod faces one charge of performing an indecent act in public. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing and is next scheduled to appear in court on September 17.
